Blue Lake Home Care was founded by a Michigan family with a simple belief: aging at home, surrounded by familiar faces and routines, is a gift every family deserves the chance to give. We started small, with a handful of caregivers and a phone number that always reached a real person. We grew because families told their friends.

Today we serve communities across Michigan, but the way we answer the phone has not changed. When you call, you reach a care coordinator, not a script. When you ask a question, you get an answer the same day. When something needs to change in a care plan, we change it. Care is personal. We treat it that way.

Every Blue Lake caregiver is hired through a careful process. We require state and federal background checks, drug screening, motor vehicle records review, and verifiable references. Where licensure or certification applies, we verify it before a caregiver ever meets a client. We hire for compassion and reliability first, then we train. Caregivers complete onboarding training and receive ongoing education on safety, dementia care, body mechanics, and infection control. Most important, every caregiver is matched to your loved one's needs, schedule, and personality, and that match is reviewed regularly.
